College Station Parks & Recreation Department created Eggtober, a combination of Easter and Halloween, where kids look for egg-filled candy using a jack o lantern bucket. Each bundle costs the participant $15 and includes a bucket and 25 eggs filled with candy.
For College Station residents, the city staff hides eggs in the front yard at the preferred difficultly level. Parks & Rec sold over 100 buckets, and the city cleared over $900 after total expenses.
