Let the show begin! After Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) received criticism from both Republicans and Democrats for once again spewing ridiculous anti-American sentiment, members of her team put on the big red shoes, applied the white and red makeup, and cartwheeled into action to defend their beloved comrade.

First up, we have Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), who did something totally unexpected: She implied that those criticizing Omar were guilty of – wait for it – racism and Islamophobia. She tweeted:

She continued, claiming that “freedom of speech doesn’t exist for Muslim women in Congress.” Oh, and she also pulled the race and Islamic card.

Freedom of speech doesn’t exist for Muslim women in Congress. The benefit of the doubt doesn’t exist for Muslim women in Congress. House Democratic leadership should be ashamed of its relentless,
