There’s been a huge ransomware attack which experts are terming a “colossal and devastating supply chain attack.”
According to Bloomberg News, the cyberattack targeted managed-service providers (MSPs), which provide IT services to small and medium sized businesses. It’s affected a lot of companies, at least 1,000 in this country so far and growing. Experts believe thousands are affected.
In Sweden, most of grocery chain Coop’s more than 800 stores couldn’t open on Saturday after the attack led to a malfunction of their cash registers, spokesperson Therese Knapp told Bloomberg News.
There are victims in 17 countries so far, including the U.K., South Africa, Canada, Argentina, Mexico and Spain, according to Aryeh Goretsky, a distinguished researcher at cybersecurity firm ESET.
Hundreds of MSPs are believed to have been affected. Even the vendor for the Republican National Committee was hit, although the RNC said they weren’t hacked and all their data was secure.
REvil, the group blamed for the May 30 ransomware attack of meatpacking giant JBS SA, is believed to be behind this attack as well. REvil is a notorious Russian-connected ransomware group.

But, despite that information, Joe Biden said that “we’re not sure” that it was Russia who was behind the attacks. Uh, huh. Who do you think it was, then, Joe? You basically gave him a list of targets.
But, check out Joe responding to that question, because this is bad. He needs note cards, just to respond to whether or not he thinks it’s Russia. The question came from behind the counter at the King’s Orchard farm store in Michigan during his visit there,
