Less than two months away from the Republican primary, Texas Right to Life has released their legislative scorecard for incumbent politicians.

“The Pro-Life Scorecard is the most effective way for Pro-Life Texans to evaluate if their elected officials adequately represented their Pro-Life values in Austin,” said Texas Right to Life Legislative Director Dr. John Seago. “While the Pro-Life movement in Texas celebrates the victories of the Texas Heartbeat Act and fully funding the Alternatives to Abortion program, there is still much work to be done in the Capitol to protect every Texan from fertilization to natural death.”

Republican Senators scored extremely well with State Sens. Bryan Hughes (R-Mineola), Bob Hall (R-Edgewood), Brandon Creighton (R-Conroe), Paul Bettencourt (R-Houston), Angela Paxton (R-McKinney), Kelly Hancock (R-North Richland Hills), Lois Kolkhurst (R-Brenham), Dawn Buckingham (R-Lakeway), and Charles Perry (R-Lubbock) each scoring a full 100.

Two Republican state senators tied for the lowest rankings—State Sens. Kel Seliger (R-Amarillo) and Donna Campbell (R-New Braunfels) both received an 87.

Seliger is widely considered to be the most liberal Republican senator and is not running for reelection.

In the House, both State Reps. Charlie Geren (Fort Worth) and Lyle Larson (San Antonio) earned the lowest score of any Republican, a 53.

However, many Republican Representatives did receive full marks including Bryan Slaton (R-Royse City), Cecil Bell, Jr. (R-Magnolia), Cole Hefner (R-Mount Pleasant), Matt Schaefer (R-Tyler), Chris Paddie (R-Marshall), Steve Toth (R-The Woodlands), Will Metcalf (R-Conroe), James White (R-Hillister), Mayes Middleton (R-Wallisville), Cody Vasut (R-Angleton), Jacey Jetton (R-Richmond), Ed Thompson (R-Pearland), Justin Holland (R-Heath), Hugh Shine (R-Temple), Charles Anderson (R-Waco), Dewayne Burns (R-Cleburne), Shelby Slawson (R-Stephenville), Phil King (R-Weatherford), Reggie Smith (R-Van Alstyne), Tan Parker (R-Flower Mound), Lynn Stucky (R-Sanger), Scott Sanford (McKinney), Phil Stephenson (R-Wharton), Four Price (R-Amarillo), Stephanie Klick (R-Fort Worth), Jeff Cason (R-Bedford), Matt Krause (R-Haslet),
